Vancouver Province

The Province and The Vancouver Sun, the two major daily papers in British Columbia, are published by Pacific Newspaper Group Inc., a Canwest company. We employ the largest newsrooms in western Canada committed to providing our readers with the highest standard in contextual, analytical and explanatory journalism.

The Province has been a daily newspaper since 1898 and publishes daily except Saturdays and selected holidays. Through our award winning journalism, we provide the latest news shaping our city, our country and the world. In addition to the print edition, our newly redesigned website theprovince.com offers the most up-to-date source of local news as it breaks throughout the day. The site also features extras such as videos, podcasts, expanded photo galleries, blogs, and online classifieds. The Province is proud to be an official media sponsor of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

The Province newspaper has been a vital part of the community since 1898. It has special responsibilities to the community and its people, and the newspaper takes those responsibilities very seriously. For more on our role in the community - click here
